March 21, 2025Well, I think I figured out what was causing the noise. I wrote a poem about it, and when I shared it with my Third Thursday Poets group, someone said it was probably a woodpecker. Apparently, they tap on outside metal pipes to communicate with one another. That would have resonated in my basement. I heard it again this morning for a few minutes. I didn’t think woodpeckers would be here this early, but apparently, they are.
