100 feet down
down to the ground
standing above
sometimes I wish I could fly
fly in the sky
fly with the geese
find peace
if I return in another life
let me fly
fly away
fly away from the negativity and strife
let us all have a new life
100 feet down
This poem was written as I was working my way through a serious bout of winter depression. Though the thoughts have past because such things if dealt with carefully cannot last, there was a time not so long ago when I felt flying with the geese might just be the thing to do.
Blue and a whole bunch of awesome people helped me through it, but had I not been honest probably no one would have ever known until it was far too late.
If you’re out there and you’ve had enough of life and you’re thinking ugly thoughts, please reach out to someone.
100 feet down would’ve been a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
Remember, where there is life there is hope.
