SPEAK OUT GODS DAMN IT!

suffering in silence
don’t speak
tell no one
keep yourself to yourself
put your feelings away
in a box on a shelf
never let anyone know
you’re living in hell
then when it’s over
you’re told to put it away
it’s not necessary to keep telling the story
no one wants to hear what you say
makes them uncomfortable
too graphic they say
well this is what I think
that attitude has lived far too long into today
it’s time for all those victims
those who have suffered at the hand of another
to stand up and speak out
stop keeping it under cover
