Good morning,
I hope you’re doing well and that you’re warm and cozy if it’s cold where you are.
Here, it is 27 degrees F. With a windchill of 20.
We have about four and one-half inches of snow and it has finally stopped. We expect about another one-to-one-half inches before the snow squalls are done later this afternoon.
Last year, I tried doing a word of the day journal. Somehow that was hard to do and so this year, thanks to Kaila Allen of Creative Guidance. LLC and her need to do gratitude work with a partner I’ve been seriously doing this every day and it feels so good.
I also feel we can when appropriate repeat things we’re grateful for.
Here’s what I’ve got so far.
#Gratitude

I am grateful for the two instructors who took time out of their Friday evening to talk me through my fears of walking in the snow. It was good to have those validated and to be reminded that if I allow him, Blue will get me where we need to be.
I’m grateful for the friend who stayed on the phone with me while I walked outside to relieve Blue for the last time in the evening.
I’m grateful for the smart glasses which allowed me to remain on the phone with him the entire time and that we never lost signal.
I’m grateful that when I woke this morning, I had all that wonderful foundation from last evening to work from and when we went out this morning, we navigated beautifully and Blue was able to relieve in his favorite spots, I was able to clear it up and dispose of it appropriately.
I’m grateful that we made it back inside and that we don’t need to do that again until about 2 in the afternoon.
I’m grateful for my boots.
I am grateful for my white cane and the ability to use it in conjunction with my dog and even though there are a few handlers who talk against such doings, that I know it’s OK to use.
I’m grateful for my hot coffee.
I’m grateful for creamer to go in it and milk when the creamer runs out.
I’m grateful for the soup I made yesterday and all the good things I had to put into it.
I’m grateful for my home.
I’m grateful I don’t have to live outside.
I’m grateful that I know how to be grateful.
I’m grateful that the blanket of depression which was smothering me over the last few months has lifted.
I’m grateful for the Framily I have that loves me unconditionally within the ACB Community.
Blessid Be and continuing to be grateful.
I am grateful to have just learned that our night and weekend apartment manager has cleared off the sidewalk and steps where we take Blue.
I’d just like to add that our beloved night and weekend manager has a condition which requires him to use a scooter. The man is amazing and does an excellent job of seeing to needs on the weekends when our office is closed.
Yes, I’m grateful to be here in these apartments at this time of my life.
