If you read Charles Dickens’ novel, Oliver Twist or saw the movie, you no doubt remember what happened to that poor boy when he asked for a second helping of gruel in the workhouse. Well, here’s what happened one time when I asked for seconds. Fortunately, my consequences weren’t as severe as Oliver’s, but later, I felt bad for using the wrong word.
