This book intrigued me when I read about it a while back in The Writer. My late husband suffered the first of two paralyzing strokes soon after we were married in 2006. I’m so thankful that we were still able to communicate. With my limited vision, there was no way I could have interpreted his eye movements, and because he was totally blind, I doubt he would have been able to blink.
