Yadda! Yadda! Yack! and a Note from Our Sponsor

Hi, everyone.

I hope you’re well.

Here, as usual the coffee is hot. Not as usual, the weather is not. It’s the 3RD of June, and I woke up to 47 degrees F this morning. Strange for June to be sure, but not completely unheard of. I remember when I was somewhere around 9 or 10-years-old and having a week in June when we pulled light-weight long-sleeved T-shirts.

It was also cloudy and rainy as it has been as well.

It didn’t last. Soon enough we were griping about it being 97 in the shade, and back then we had no air conditioner.

In the afternoons, we shut the curtains, and either gathered around the radio, TV, or kitchen table of someone’s house to enjoy board games, cards, or GASP! Good old-fashioned conversation.

Yesterday afternoon, I was sitting here doing nothing, feeling kind of down and like I might feel better if I had someone to chat with and so I got myself up, harnessed up my dog and headed downstairs.

I got a little more than I planned on with some unwanted drama from the big Drama Momma Queen of 10 BS Street. Otherwise, it was a good visit.

It’s one of the reasons I like living here, for good or ill there’s always something going on. We also have a bit of a routine. On Tuesdays before 1 and again after about 3 or so, you can be sure to find our knitting ladies coming out of their class, grabbing a bathroom break or whatever, and then heading into the chat room for a visit.

Blue and I were just doing nothing but counting our toes and I hopped up and said, “Let’s go see what’s doing in the chat room.”

That was enough for Blue. He knew this meant a trip to his favorite fence post and then into the midst of his adoring public.

I believe if I had not had Blue brought back to this apartment building when I did, I’d have been removed.

There are many beloved dogs in this place, and except for a few who are unruly due to not having good masters we’ve a good bunch of dog owners. I mean that too. Most people and their pups are well-behaved and though Blue is a working dog he can sniff with the best of them when he gets a chance.

I have no idea what I’m yammering on about. I just needed to limber up the fingers, and this seemed a good place to begin.

For now, Blue who is laying in a patch of sun, while the fan from the AC blows on his belly says, “Keep your nose to the ground and your tail waving at the sky.”

Noteworthy Happenings

I’ll be heading out about 9 this morning for a trip to the doctor and then the grocery-store.

I won’t be available until later this afternoon, and since one of my normal meetings for the evening is not happening this week, I’ll catch up on everything then.

Something else to remember is the following message by today’s sponsoring member.
