What’s Up in Patty’s World from my Book of Shadows #Journal

APRIL 1, 2021.

MOON PHASE WANING GIBBOUS.

There are lots of things going on in my world these days. Some great and some not so much. A few things I had going on earlier in the week which I had high hopes for turned out not to be so great after all and whilst I hope those with good intent for those projects have great success in future, I believe if some major changes aren’t put into place, said projects are doomed. I have chosen to walk away, for I no longer associate myself with drama or negativity.

Anyhow, it would seem the good far outweighed the bad during the week past and it is that which I wish to focus on.

Not long ago, one of the caseworkers with whom I check in regularly thus making sure I remain compliant with all treatment for my Bipolar and also to make certain my needs are being met contacted me to let me know a grant had been awarded to their organization which allowed them to purchase items which would improve their clients’ lives.

She asked me, what need) s I had which I couldn’t meet which if were met would improve my life in a big way.

I had to think about it. There were and are a lot of things on that list. However, after much consideration and a bit of back and forth discussion between she and me, I decided that a computer desk and new office chair would greatly improve things for me, because though the table my father built me is nice and the throw away chair I came by works, the table is too high and even set at its highest level the chair I currently use does not raise me to a correct sitting position so for about 6 to 8 hours every-day I’m sitting incorrectly. This causes me much pain and so I decided if I could get it that’s what I wanted.

She wrote me a couple days later to say she could make that happen. Then, she asked, “What about your recliner? I’ve seen you talking about how it’s on it’s last legs.” I wrote back to say that yes that was so. She wrote back a day later and informed me that since I had balance issues due to my Spatial Disorientation and Fibromyalgia issues that I also qualified for a lift chair recliner and that she would be ordering this too.

Upon learning this, I decided my house would need to be rearranged. So, I decided since this is a holiday weekend, I’ll be taking some time off. I’d already planned a couple days, but the following will be my schedule…

My Staycation will begin on April 2, 2021 at 5 PM Eastern and will continue through end of day on April 5, 2021.

I will resume normal business hours at 9 AM Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

I will still be checking email, will still be communicating with all of you, will still be taking submissions for The Writer’s Grapevine and next week’s WordPress Wednesday. I just won’t be available for normal promotion work during that time.

I must move furniture, clean up what used to be Campbell’s old room and make space for what will be my new office.

I am excited because this is going to change how and where I work and relax in a HUGE way which is going to improve both my physical and mental outlook.

Well, that’s all the news.

I bid you all a Happy holiday whatever you celebrate.

May harmony find you and blessid be.

  2. Patty, this is the best news of the day to me. I have tears in my eyes.

For the past few weeks the lord kept bringing you to my mind and he kept showing me that you needed a recliner chair – and I have been praying for you to be able to get a chair that would be comfortable. I just kept having that still small voice, that little inkling that comes to us to pray for something or someone. That chair just kept floating into my thoughts – and when I read this I began to weep at the beauty of how God takes care of the smallest things for us in such unexpected ways.

I am glad you are taking the time away from business – our best work comes when we rest and let go of things that are taking away our energy. I was glad to read you did not follow the path of whoever was bringing you negative experiences. That is so wise.

Today, I am going to go over the details of my Meditation pieces that will be in Songs for the Pilgrimage – and after that – we will be ready to drop the book into the publish bin – so to speak. Lol

It has been such a good experience working on it for over a year – I know I could spend another year working on it further, but it is time to move away from it and let it go. This is my nature, to revise and tweak something into infinity – I have to just tell ME it’s time to STOP NOW.

Enjoy the beauty and pleasure of your wonderful time of in-gathering for you office and personal needs. This is truly a blessing from Heaven. And, I would say an affirmation that you are on your personal and professional journey – just where you should be. ❤

    1. Hello again Lynda.

Yes, this is truly a blessing. Both the recliner and office furniture. Right now I’m arguing with myself about what is to go where. LOL.

As to those who would be negative and encourage drama, I’ve no time for that. It was a 24 hour period of hell and I want no more part of it.

It was a great disappointment to me though because there were people involved whom I thought were friend of mine. They’re not and I’m glad I know of their true natures.

A blessing I suppose but rather disturbing as well.

I’m glad you saw this here. I’d posted about it in the GV group but you must’ve not seen that.

      Have a wonderful day.
