Hear Ye! Hear Ye! May I have your attention Please?

At just after 8 AM eastern standard time, whilst attending The Seeing Eye Dog Guide School in Morristown New Jersey, I became the proud mother of a 68 pound male black Lab Cross named Blue.

He is gentle as a lamb, loving as can be and a true joy to walk with down the street.

He is cautious, while being full of spunk!

He is wiggly and if I’m not paying attention after I lay him down beside me at meal times he will belly crawl underneath the table to say high to his kennel mates.

Currently, he is stretched out beside me snoozing as only a Lab Cross can do and I am pleased as punch to be writing this to you.

We spent the day going on our first trip about town, having a grooming session, learning to use all the various pieces of equipment which come with him and during our free time we spent a few hours just sitting in the floor snuggling and getting to know one another.

He loves to get his belly rubbed and he is a cuttler.

When I sit down in the floor beside him he is just as liable to crawl up into my lap as not.

He likes to sit beside me on the floor and lay his head on my shoulder whilst snuggling my ears.

He doesn’t give sloppy kisses like Campbell but after supper he was inclined to wash my face. I mean, he does have to look after me and I cannot go round with a dirty face, now can I?

I’m happy as can be and though I know there are sure to be some rough spots ahead, so far this is most excellent!

Please excuse any typing mistakes or punctuation perils. I’m writing this off the top of my head.

I’m quite tired and plan an early bedtime.
