***FYI!
UPDATE ON THE BLENDED LIVES CHRONICLES: A BATTLE OF CHOICES BOOK II!
I just got a note from my editor/publisher saying that she was going to be finishing up on the formatting and editing this weekend on The Blended Lives Chronicles: A Battle of Choices book II.
I’m super excited that even after the trials surrounding this book, it is going to publish on time.
Release Date October 31, 2024!
Writing a book series is daunting. If one is to do it true justice one really needs to publish with consistency. I have chosen to do a book every year and am already at work on book III.
Only there’s a catch! Book III will not be published next October 2025. Nope, it’s going to be published earlier than the Celtic New Year, during the summer solstice 2025.
If the writing Goddess is good to me, I plan to do this because the third book opens during the summer solstice.
This is too much fun. I cannot believe people pay me to write!
Every time someone downloads a copy of my work it’s a payment.
I’m so pleased to be doing these wonderful things at this time of my life!
I hope you all enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing.
Please, please post your thoughts on my work. I cannot improve or give more of what you like without knowing what that is.
Be nice but let me know.
Thanks for reading.
In the meantime, you’ve still time to pick up your free copy of book I!
THE BLENDED LIVES CHRONICLES: SIDES OF THE ORDER BOOK I CONTINUES FREE ON SMASHWORDS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 5, 2024!
About the Book
Lady Laya MoonWalker is a well respected author and magazine owner and a high priestess in the magickal community. After a drawn-out battle with the forces of dark magik, she has come into her own. She lives and works on Planet Korponious, where she is the owner and creator of an Interplanetary Magazine called “Blended Lives Chronicles.” Her mission is to blend the lines of race, creed, and disability that separate so many and to elevate the recognition of the training and ability of Service Animals of all kinds to a new level. She has just been accepted into the Blended Lives Federation and now hopes to continue her work in a way like nothing known to her before.
Laya has created allot of wreckage along the way through her dark journey into the light, and now she wishes to set this to right. She has just received her best break ever. Frank Prince, the CEO of The Blended Lives Learning Center, has invited her to the Celtic New Year Convention and Witches Ball as a reporter to write a story on the progress of The Blended Lives Planetary Federation. She will be their guest speaker at the opening ceremonies.
When Laya arrives at the Celtic Convention, she finds herself face to face with an old and dear friend, Blended Lives Learning Center Instructor and member of the Order of the Night, Derrick Gibbous. As they begin to connect, causing old sparks to reignite, they are tossed into a nasty battle from which not everyone will escape. People are not as they seem, and not everyone supports the side for which they appear to work.
As their love for one another grows, so does the battle. Despite everything, Laya and Derrick are determined to see their work to unite beings of all kinds succeed.

And now, a sneak treat from Book II
Laya said nothing, but as his hand rested on her bottom, he knew from the look in her eyes of what she was frightened. She knew they still had matters left to discuss before they could step forward on the path together. He could smell fear and desire coming off her in soft yet persistent waves.
“I’m sorry I lost control again, Derrick.” Laya said in a small voice. “I know I can do better. Please? Give me another chance?”
Switching his tone from betrothed to trainer, he asked, “What about your lack of awareness at the safe house last week? should give you a pass on that as well?”
For a moment, Laya said nothing. Her scent grew stronger with each passing moment. Then, remembering her words to Wolverine, she said, “I’ll accept your decision on that.”
Continuing in the role of trainer, Derrick slid out from under the covers, and with a wave of his hand, retrieved and slipped into his trainer’s robe. He sat down at the foot of the bed. “Come here, Laya. Let’s have a talk.”
