Causeway Ain’t No Pawsway.

By: King Campbell A.K.A Bubba Dog

I see this causeway, but it ain’t no a pawsway.

Though I’m a Labrador, I know for sure,

I’m not going to walk that path, cause if my paws slip, into the ocean I’ll take a dip.

Then I’d be washed away cause I took the causeway instead of the pawsway!

    1. Thanks so much for including this in your offerings this week.
I just made it up off the top of my head as soon as I saw the prompt.

  3. Ruby, Labrador, agrees with Ani. I also think that Bubba Dog is very wise 😉💜💜

    1. Hello Ruby, Ani, and all.

Bubba Dog here, I tell you no way I’d have crossed such a path as what was described in that photo.

Shew! I shiver and shake just thinking about it.

      Thanks for writing in.

      😘💖

      1. You are a very clever dog, I remember you are a guide dog, I am a retired guide dog . 💜

        1. Hi Ruby.

I am retired too. I spend my days going on leisurely sniff fests alongside my human who now uses her cane to tap out the way, taking long lazy naps in the sun, eating good food, and getting lots of toys which my human mother and I play with every evening after she is through with her work.

Mom keeps talking about how one day she is going to go back to my homeland and get another working dog, but just when I thought this might happen a plague hit the land and the humans who work in the castle there closed things down and said no students could come.

I understand from reading the daily doggy and getting updates through the Twilight Bark that they’ve sent all the dogs who were living there in the palace to stay with humans all across the kingdom so that no one takes a chance of getting sick.

Part of me wishes for my human mother to get a new working dog. I know it would make it easier for her to go out and about, but at the same time I don’t want to have to share her with a young pup. I also know that should a youngster come to live with us that I’d spend a lot of time telling him or her stories so that he or she could learn all that he or she needed to know to do the best job possible for my human mother.

I suppose though, since I’m getting older it must be done soon.

          1. Well Bubba I have to admit I am living the dream much like you are now. When I first started working Una the previous dog was still there she taught me a great deal, how to steal shoes , and Sunday joints …but she did teach me some good things too. Willow’s husband started walking me not long after I started work. They used to look after Una too, but she went over the rainbow bridge. I hope Patty get a new dog soon, you will get used to a new pup and have fun teaching it everything you know. Be well and happy 💜

          2. Hi Ruby.

Even though I’ll have to share my mommy and my room, I am a king and sooner or later I must hand down my harness.

So, I hope this plague goes away soon and my mommy can go back to my homeland to get another dog.

Besides, that will give me someone to boss around.

          3. Yes it will, Una always bossed me around 😀

          4. Well, I hate to admit it but Celine Kitty always used to boss everyone around in our house.

She didn’t even weigh a whole 10 pounds but she was queen.

          5. Those darn cats always are. I really like cats but they don’t always like me …I don’t know why😀

          6. I’ve got some half wild ones living underneath my house.

Whenever I bark hello they climb up the nearest tree.

I don’t think they play fair. I mean I can’t climb up there to play tag with them.

          7. That’s cats for you, always winding us up!!!

          8. Yep.

          9. 💜

  4. King Campbell is very wise. 😀

    1. Hi Crystal.

      Thanks for reading.

King Campbell and I appreciate it.

Sorry he isn’t here to say thank you himself but he’s sleeping and you know the old saying…

      “Let sleeping dogs lie.”

Besides, if I let him back onto the computer I’ll be half the day getting him off.

    1. Hello Saangchai.

King Campbell here, and glad to hear from you.

Mom and I don’t know why WordPress keeps making us unfollow folks. We have to chase down their blogs all the time.

I forgot all about writing this too. It’s great fun when I can sneak onto the puter and get a post off.
