Moon Phase Waxing Gibbous

the darkness closes in
we know it’s wrong from within
too afraid to listen
with the fake energy of power
soon that will sour
the people will come to their senses
you will be locked behind fences
just like before
only worse
the weapons are different
colder
violent
anger driven
fear driven
soon if we allow it
we will be wiped away
how many millions can they kill in just one day
hear me
hear me I beg
I’m not messin’ round
if you fuck around you’ll find out
only it won’t be just you who pays
in the end I suppose that’s great
in the meantime there’s more risk every day
when we could if we’d only try
if we’d only band together
it could be wiped from all time
