More and more of late, I’m reading books, blog posts and things on social media which are supposedly written by professionals only to find they’re full of glaring typos. Now, I don’t expect everything that comes across my blog or social media feed to be perfect, goodness knows I make mistakes all the time. But it seems to me people are always in such an all fired hurry that they pay attention to little of what they’re doing. I mean, surely to goodness people could at least be bothered to use spell check when posting an email but today, I have found so many mistakes that it made reading people’s work an effort rather than a joy.

It’s not just people’s work either. Businesses take little care to make certain their employees do their jobs correctly. Orders get mixed up in the drive through, deliveries come on the incorrect day, caregivers don’t take the time to put things back where they belong or even do the full job of what they’re supposed to be doing.

In Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series Roland says repeatedly, “The world has moved on.” And I fear there’s no truer statement.

Now, I’m certain there are a few punctuation perils within this writing but it won’t be so badly done you’ll have to have a decipherer to make it out.

Anyhow, that’s my rant for today.
