Today, I’ve been listening to what I call ‘The Blended Lives Chronicles Play List’ Which I created in my Amazon Alexa app.

Here is one of those songs. Those of you who have read the first book, might have an idea or two about what chapter or character this song might relate to.

I’d love to know your thoughts. Please sound off in the comment section or shoot me an email.

Here’s the song.

Here’s more about the book and where it is on sale.

The cover is a deep, candy apple red, with the title, The Blended Lives Chronicles: Sides of the Order at the top in white text. At the bottom is the author’s name, Patty L. Fletcher, also typed in white. Above the author’s name and below the title of the book is a white skeleton key, taking up about 3/4 of the cover space.

The spine of the cover features a white crescent moon on the top left corner of a white number one roman numeral. Below that is the title of the book, followed by the author’s name at the bottom of the spine.

About the Book

Lady Laya MoonWalker is a well respected author and magazine owner and a high priestess in the magickal community. After a drawn-out battle with the forces of dark magik, she has come into her own. She lives and works on Planet Korponious, where she is the owner and creator of an Interplanetary Magazine called “Blended Lives Chronicles.” Her mission is to blend the lines of race, creed, and disability that separate so many and to elevate the recognition of the training and ability of Service Animals of all kinds to a new level. She has just been accepted into the Blended Lives Federation and now hopes to continue her work in a way like nothing known to her before.

Laya has created allot of wreckage along the way through her dark journey into the light, and now she wishes to set this to right. She has just received her best break ever. Frank Prince, the CEO of The Blended Lives Learning Center, has invited her to the Celtic New Year Convention and Witches Ball as a reporter to write a story on the progress of The Blended Lives Planetary Federation. She will be their guest speaker at the opening ceremonies.

When Laya arrives at the Celtic Convention, she finds herself face to face with an old and dear friend, Blended Lives Learning Center Instructor and member of the Order of the Night, Derrick Gibbous. As they begin to connect, causing old sparks to reignite, they are tossed into a nasty battle from which not everyone will escape. People are not as they seem, and not everyone supports the side for which they appear to work.

As their love for one another grows, so does the battle. Despite everything, Laya and Derrick are determined to see their work to unite beings of all kinds succeed.

Now, a conversation with High Priestess Lady Laya MoonWalker and Patty.

Please share this promo with the avid readers in your life!

Thank you for your help and support!

Happy reading!

Now, back to Patty and your regularly scheduled update!

“Thanks Laya, we really must get together to talk about what to do with Derrick and Daniel. They’re starting to get on my nerves with their filthy looks and remarks toward one another. Their pissing contest needs to end. It is keeping me up nights, and the second book isn’t even published.”

“Oh dear. I’ll see what I can do. Maybe Derrick needs a leash correction.”

“Haheha! Alright, Laya. Let me get back to work.”

Anyhow, as I was saying, if that’s not enough excitement to curl your hair and make even the stoutest of vampires run for cover, there’s more.

I’m now reading through and making slight edits on what will be for me, the last draft of the manuscript for ‘The Blended Lives Chronicles: A Battle of Choices II before sending it off to the magickal beings Dawn and Colleen formally known as Two Pentacles Publishing. They will work their editing and illustrating magik, and the book will be released as planned on October 31, 2024.

I plan to release another book, which comes from the Miss Maisy serial which appeared on my blog some years back as “Mis Mazie.”

It needs a lot of work, but I’ve some new ideas, so watch for that coming soon to a book buying link near you.

My pottery is going along nicely. I donated some pieces to the ACB – American Council Of The Blind summer auction and holy cow they sold! People actually bid nice prices for them, and I am super-duper excited.

I’ll be beginning those pieces and getting them out through July and August.

Remember, pottery is a slow and steady win the race sport. These items take a little time to craft and if rushed disaster ensues.

In the meantime, here’s a photo of two of the pieces which were sold. I had a lovely conversation with the lady who bought them, and I cannot wait to send her pieces.

The picture shown here was taken after I made the first ones. Thos actual pieces are in a couple of my friend’s houses. They buy it up, quicker than I can make it. 😊

A small round pottery plate. The piece is a multi-hued blue with a floral texture on its face. This piece could be used for change, crystals, a tea bag holder, or even as a spoon rest.

I cannot wait to get my hands back in the clay. Thanks to everyone who bid on and purchased my work.

Here’s where to go to see more.

Speaking of my The Blended Lives chronicles series and pottery, the sculpture of the monster making its debut in book II is completed. Picture to come. I will share it on Facebook, but I do not yet have descriptive text set up for it, so I am not going to put it here.

Watch this space for more.

Before we continue, let’s have a word from one of our Patty’s Worlds Marketing Sponsors.

Author and Proofreader, Jo Elizabeth Pinto and I worked on the Blended Lives manuscript together a lot over the past few months, so I’d be remiss if I didn’t share a bit of news from Jo’s neighborhood.

Taking up most of the back of the book, besides the following text, is a red Corvette.

Back Cover Text

“Summer on the ranch seems safe and predictable for Brenda. All she has on her mind are trips into town with Nick Haynes and the horsehair rope she’s braiding so she can start training her Morgan colt, Tenacity. Then Cathy arrives from the city with a troubled past and an uncertain future. As Cathy adjusts to life in the country, both girls begin to figure out what family bonds really mean to them in a world that isn’t as simple as it appears.”

About the Author

Jo Elizabeth Pinto was among the first blind students to integrate the public schools in the 1970’s when federal laws allowed disabled students to be educated with their peers. She has earned two college degrees, one in human services and one in nonprofit organization management. She freelances these days as an editor and a braille proofreader.

As an author, Pinto entertains her readers while giving them food for thought. In her fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, she draws on personal experience to illustrate that hope is always an action away.

Pinto lives in Colorado with her husband and their teenage daughter. Their family also includes Pinto’s guide dog Spreckles, a poodle/Maltese mix called Leo, and an aging family cat who answers to the name Sam-I-Am when he feels like it.

And here is a Five Star book review.

Braided Love 5 Star Book Review

June 7, 2024 – by Ann Chiappetta.

Before we go, Chief Seeing Eye® Dog Blue says he’s something to say. Be prepared we’ve not discussed this ahead of time. I’ve no idea what he’s up to.

Hey! It’s me, Chief Seeing Eye® Dog Blue, and today, I’m on the case. But – SHHH! I have a surprise for mother, first a little backstory.

My mother and I stayed up extremely late last evening. She talked a lot on her Telebone while I kept guard from my fluffy comfy Matt. My human mother has gotten into her human brain that we must start doing more than just a mile each day. She says we must keep our figure. I do not know exactly what that is, but it is causing me to walk and work more in harness and I’m pooped.

Monsters, however, are serious business and can, if left unchecked, cause lots of trouble.

I was on the case until late last night, listening and sniffing for any change in sound or smell.

I got a whiff of someone’s leftover cooking when mother and I went out for my last park time, but of the monster, there was nothing. Still that feeling I should know more persisted.

Well, it turns out the monster is not one which can run loose in the house or neighborhood. At least not until mother writes it and makes it so, but this is a pleasant surprise for me to slip into our newsletter for mother and all her friends.

I hope y’all enjoy.

Mother keeps telling everyone she does not have the description for the monster, but this morning, after I heard a message from our good human friend Miss Linda, I did some digging into mother’s telebone and here’s what I found. I guess I have to share it with Mother too. I mean she is the artist here, but really, she should be able to do these things for herself. Doing photos is not in my job description. Ah well, here it is. I’ve not quite gotten the hang of the direction for adding what is called alt text into the actual picture, but I did figure out this app, and how to get everything onto this page. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a lot for a doggy, Chief or not to do.

I hope you enjoy. I know my mother worked extremely hard on this.

Here you go, mother. This is Chief Seeing Eye® Dog Blue who is always on the case. I love you Mother.

Oh! By the way, Microsoft or whomever puts the generated pic text in is nuts. That is not a dog.

I’ve edited what Seeing AI said a little too.

Monster photo with description.

A small ceramic figurine of a dog

Description automatically generated

The image shows a ceramic sculpture placed on a light-colored, speckled surface. The sculpture appears to be a stylized figure with a dark green, glossy finish. It has two prominent red eyes and two yellow, wing-like protrusions on either side. The figure has a somewhat abstract form with a textured surface and two upward-pointing extensions at the top. These are horns.

The texture on the front of the monster is his shield.

Our good human friend Miss Linda helped mother glaze it.

I got the original description from the Seeing AI › app › seeing-ai

I was listening when human friend the Vexinator Casey Mathews from Web Friendly Help told mother about it and of course, I was on the case, and paid attention to what it could do.

Thanks Casey. I bet you didn’t know you were helping a doggy use tech too.

You guys make sure you visit Casey at the link shown below. He is so smart. He can even fix mother’s vexing computer troubles.

Visit: .

You’ll be so glad you did.

OK Blue, that’s enough. Let’s wrap it up!

Yes, mother you are correct. It is time for you to take me outside and fix my supper.

Until next time this is Team Blue saying, “Keep your nose to the ground and your tail waving at the sky.”
