The Bin Was Bare

The Bin Was Bare

I woke in the early dawn.

Gave out a large yawn.

Went to the coffee bin.

To my chagrin, it was bare.

Nothing there.

Oh! Blue, have a care, do you know where?

Where we shall go?

Blue he did know.

Out the door we flew.

Flew with my big, dog, Blue!

To the bakery/coffee shop we did go.

We didn’t stop, didn’t stop even when people said hello.

Gave them a wave.

Went on our way.

Don’t talk to me, was the message from Blue.

I’ve something important to do.

Don’t get in the way.

Mom needs coffee today.

She ain’t gonna play.
