Thank You for Your Understanding and Love

I would like to say thank you to everyone I reached out to yesterday with prayer requests.

I knew people were busy with family, friends, or football so in every message I sent I let them know they didn’t need to reply.

I had one friend who did reach out and we spent a few moments on the phone. That was helpful and along with the warmth of all the prayers and good energies I began to recover.

I’m currently having trouble with bouts of depression and anxiety.

There are multiple reasons for this, and I know it will pass.

Some is situational and other parts are the bipolar raising its ugly head.

This began shortly after the beginning of November, and it has been very intense at times.

I’ve found myself teary eyed and emotional a lot over this time. There were times when I had people around me while this was going on and their patience and understanding was and is appreciated.

I’m finally coming through it and hopefully for the last time.

I’ve had a few false starts and so I’m asking all of you to continue your good thoughts, prayers, and energies whatever they may be.

Today, I cleaned my house and carried out all sorts of trash.

I cleared out my email folders and this coming week I plan to clear up my files.

I’m working on all fronts to deal with all this in a healthy way.

Please be patient with me as I deal with this as it is also causing me trouble with short term memory loss.

I tried doing the walk Blue and I learned in November and took one wrong turn which ended me up at The birthplace of Country Music Museum.

I was able to use my Metta Glasses to figure out where I was by having it read a sign and then I was able to get back on track, but I’ve not had the nerve to try it again and since the weather is bad, I’m trying to be patient with myself.

Some may ask why I’m posting this, and the reason is amazingly simple. I want to let people know what’s going on with me, thank those who will know who they are, and speak openly about mental illness.

If I were suffering from a flu high blood pressure or some other physical illness, I would write about it so why not write about mental illness?

It’s not to be ashamed of, it’s to be dealt with. This took many years to learn but now I for the most part feel no shame. Only when people make a big deal of it in some way. You know? Treat me like I’m a lepper.

I’ve been taking meds at the verist precise moment they’re due, I’ve been making sure to do self-check-in times and have a few times put myself on a safe plan.

A safe plan for those who don’t know what that is, is when you are accountable to someone to make sure you eat, groom yourself, and take your meds.

You also must be honest with them about how you’re feeling.

I have people to support me in this and I did this twice during the month of Nov and once in December.

Long ago in my teens and early 20s I was a self-injurer, and I must be careful not to ever allow that behavior, not once. I have not done so in many years, and the urges have passed.

Thanks for reading this all the way through if you did, and blessid be.

PS. If you know someone who struggles with mental illness, please be kind to them and check on them if you care for them in any way at all.

If I didn’t have a good grasp as to what I need when I feel this way I could have slipped into an extremely dangerous pattern.

It frightens me to write this to you because I’ve lost people due to these things.

I have been told things like, you’re too mentally ill, I cannot be part of your life. I’ve had others say they couldn’t be involved with me romantically because I was too much of a risk and all sorts of other junk.

If you’ve ever seen me in a state of emotional upset or anxiety you know that I am not that unstable. I might jabber a little more than I should but that’s more of a racing thought thing and luckily for me I’ve a few friends who help with that.

There are times as I said I’m a little teary eyed or easily sensitive in that a sad thing might make me cry or I might become a bit opinionated if I read or watch too much news.

Mostly I’m just like everyone else who has some sort of sickness they deal with.

So, thanks to you who are my friends and care for me.

You are few.

Love to you and may your new year bring you everything and all the love and happiness for which you could ever hope.
