I didn’t realize this till the other day
as Blue and I were walking our way
I was chattering to Blue
someone said what’s the matter with you
I asked
what
you’re talking to yourself they say
I smiled as I walked away
muttered under my breath
rather talk to myself than listen to your discriminating bull shit
I’m happy to be me
so if you don’t like it stay away
I’m celebrating my freedom today
they can never take it away
in my mind it will live every day
the nasty mother fuckers cannot defeat me
I’m always gonna be free
I hope my crude behavior doesn’t offend. If it does, 🤷♀️ I can’t help it. People are being ridiculous everywhere. I am encountering major issues due to our current government regime and I am struggling every, single, day. I know rage. I know fury. I know heartbreak and yes, at times, I’ve known pure hate.
I’ve since let go of the hate. It was eating me. But sometimes I just have to let fly my frustration and there it is on the page.
I’m not proud of it. I’m not ashamed of it. It just is.
Today I’m reclaiming My, Independence! My Freedom! My, Success!
This! Is! Me!

On This Day of Intention
today I set my intention
today I call to thee
hear my plea
I’ve given myself

bring forth the one I seek
let us stand together
through space and time
let us send away the darkness

here on this day of intention
I set this forth into the universe it goes
in hopes for a better tomorrow
I summon stir and draw ye forth
east of air
communication
passion
love
south of fire
deep desire
power to change
to cleanse the evil away
I call ye forth west of water
passion
tears
river
lake
ocean
filled with promise
tinged
polluted
with fear
with the waves we cleanse it clear
oh I summon stir and call ye forth
Mother Earth of the north
bringer of life
bringer of death
thank you for what we have and have not yet
oh, hear me please
down below
the underworld
above
the ether
let my magik rise
for with evil we are at war
bring forth the soldier

Patty L. Fletcher is a woman of passion and exploration.
She studies the art of manifestation and is a seeker of knowledge and the wisdom to know what to do with it when it’s learned.
From April 2011 through September 2020, she owned and handled a black Labrador from The Seeing Eye® named King Campbell Lee Fletcher A.K.A. Bubba. Sadly, after a long battle with illness on September 24, 2020, King Campbell went to the Rainbow Bridge where all is peace and love. In July 2021, she returned to The Seeing Eye® and was paired with a Black Labrador Golden Retriever cross named Blue.
PATTY’S BLINDNESS…
Patty was born one and a half months premature. Her blindness was caused by her being given too much oxygen in the incubator. She was partially sighted until 1991, at which time she lost her sight due to an infection after cataract surgery and high eye pressure. She used a cane for 31 years before making the change to a guide dog.
WHERE SHE LIVES AND WORKS…
Currently, Patty lives and works in Bristol Virginia
Patty is quite involved with The American Council of the Blind – ACB and its community.
She’s a member of Guide Dog Users Incorporated where she serves on the GDUI board of directors, the Election Candidacy Task Force, and is now the chair of the membership Committee.
She works with the Audio Description Project by serving on the ADP Performing Arts Committee.
Patty’s the creator and owner of Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing (Author, Blogger, Business Assist), The Writer’s Grapevine Online Magazine and the creator and host of the Talk to Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing Podcast, which have recently been reconstructed and can all be found in Patty’s Worlds.
WRITING GOAL…
Patty writes with the goal of bridging the great chasm which separates the disabled from the non-disabled.
