Sunday in the Campbell Kingdom: Weather, Walking, Working Out, Writing and Books Galore #Journal

Hello to all.

It’s currently sunny and 82 degrees out here in Kingsport TN.

Supposed to be 90 again today so Campbell and I have already taken two good walks before it got hot.

Since Campbell can’t take long walks anymore, we try to get two short walks in each day.

Using the health app on my phone I’m able to track how far in a day we walk and on average when I add all the walking we do together counting the laps we make round the yard and up and down the block, by the end of the day we’re averaging about a mile which isn’t bad.

We of course used to walk loads more but he is almost 12 years old which is equivalent to an almost 80 year old human so I’d say he’s doing well for an old dog who has had several medical setbacks in the last year and half.

We’re trying to build up his distance stamina but it’s taking some time.

When we got back from our second walk, I did one of my 20-minute workouts. I’ll do another before time for bed this evening.

Next week I’ll add five minutes to each workout.

I lost three pounds this week, and this puts me up to having lost 10 pounds since I began keeping track.

Anyhow, it’s been a pretty good day so far.

Over the past week I’ve read five books and today started on a new one.

I’ve got one going on my NLS player, one going on my Audible app and getting ready to start a new short on my Kindle.

I bought three new books today for Kindle. One was 0.99 and two were free with Kindle unlimited.

I’m addicted to books.

Last week I had two credits for Audible and they were having a by one book get one free so for two credits I picked up three books, and then I got my two free originals so for $14 which is what my monthly membership costs I got five books.

I’m addicted to books.

LOL.

Also just dashed off the afterword to my manuscript to the proofreader along with some edited lines to be put into the main draft, so everything is moving right along there too.

Tomorrow I’ll start work on The Writer’s Grapevine and so another busy week begins.

Have a great day.

Food For Thought

We all are the Light, automatically. So we really don’t have to go too much further than that. We all have a Light within us – it is the Soul; it is that spark of God, of the Divine, that activates our consciousness.
