Summer Gone By

By Trish Hubschman

Summer has drawn to an end.

Where has it gone??

Why has it gone?

It’s our first summer in our new home,

In South Carolina.

We’ve been so happy here.

It’s like another world,

The charm of the South,

Combined with people from the North.

The pools in our development are fine.

We have had so much fun,

Playing and flooring and swimming in the water.

It’s so delightful.

Sadly, I missed three weeks going in the pool.

Had a knee infection.

But I am back in the water now

and making[up for lost time.

Today was our last day.

Our preferred pool closes soon.

Summer has drawn to an end.

Kids have gone back to school

and Labor Day is here.

Another summer gone by,

But a memorable one.

  2. Good morning, Trish.
It’s amazing how an injury or infection can put one out of commission.
I’m supposed to limit my activities on the computer and other things which require me to use my left arm, and I’ve not been doing that as much as I should. So, I’m going to have to start dong better.
Thanks for your contribution it was great.
