What would it look like if I changed it?

Not long ago, someone brought to my attention that I spent far too much time putting myself down because of mistakes I made just like everyone makes each day.

I did not want to believe I could be anything else. I was resistant to their challenge.

When it became clear the friend wouldn’t relent the following took place.

) Two Weeks After the Visit

During a session with Kaila my mindfulness coach, she asked, “What if you changed that? What would it look like?”

Well, I thought about it, and this is what I came up with.

Lately I’ve been spouting out a lot of poetry so today I’m taking each letter of the word STUPID and creating a positive word or phrase.

sincere
tenacious
understanding
punctual
individual
detailed

sincere and tenacious
understanding to a fault
ready with punctuality and commitment
gathering and presenting her individual ideas
with great detail

While writing this I tried to order some breakfast. I only ended up with two pieces of bacon.

I was over 22 dollars out and had nothing but this bacon to show for it. I was feeling pretty low and thinking of deleting this writing. Then I remembered I could report the issue. I did and to my surprise so had the driver. I was given the money back in instant Uber Cash and able to order what I wanted. I’d say that’s pretty darn smart.
