I’m a day late sharing, but still, it’s a great post by author and poet Abbie Johnson Taylor.

Abbie’s answering a question. Head over to see her answer.

  1. Thank you, Patty, for sharing here. I appreciate it, even if it is a day late.

    1. BTW? In answer to the question, I considered a pen name. Then, like you, I decided it would be confusing and was really unnecessary. To each his own but I cannot think of but a few reasons for a pen name.
For example, years ago, I found myself in desperate need of money, I was out of work, the rent and power were due and it was a bad situation. I was reading online looking for paid writing opportunities and after being rejected from several places, I found a site offering payment for erotica. At the time, I was a brand new author, only had one book published under my real name and was terrified of submitting with it. So, I made up a pen name and lo and behold they accepted it and four more after. It got me over the hump.
That site is gone now and so is that part of my life, but you do what you have to sometimes and I’ve no shame.
I remember once, telling someone about it and they told me i should have no shame.
I did for some time but not now.

  2. Hi, I’m seriously sorry about that. I had every intent of getting back onto the computer but I fell asleep in my chair after eating supper and it didn’t get done.
I’d hoped to get up before I left for pottery on Monday but that didn’t materialize either. LOL.
