I appreciate the sharing of my blog article and the Week in Photos at River Road Studio. Thank you Patty for that and thank you to each person who visited the blog and enjoyed the photo tour of my fiber studio. This studio is on the second floor of my home. I do have another studio as well – which is on the second floor of a large barn-shaped building on my property. I do not work in that one in cold months – there is no heat in it! Brrrrrr.
I am so glad I rearranged my time schedule so that I can spend a lot more creative energy in my studio. I am so happy when I am making art. I come alive and my days are so fulfilling. This week we are having some snow – which really makes me sparkle with delight. And, the pieces I am working on right now are my Winter Wonderland Series – there will be 3 of them eventually – Once the piece is completely finished then they go to the seamstress who does the sewing that mounts them onto a fiber backing and the final works hang on the wall. So, it is a long and very time-intensive process that I do in my work. I am glad I am patient.
I think writers and artists must be extremely patient. While one might dash off a short story or poem, maybe even an essay, or create a quick drawing, it seems to me no matter the project, whether word or something else needs a slow hand.

January 19, 2021Hi Lynda.
You’re most welcome.
I think writers and artists must be extremely patient. While one might dash off a short story or poem, maybe even an essay, or create a quick drawing, it seems to me no matter the project, whether word or something else needs a slow hand.
