READING WITH THE AUTHORS: Something to Be Said for Downtime and a Partial Book Review #DetectiveMystery

Hello to all.

I hope you’re doing fabulous this hot, Summer’s eve.

Here in the Campbell Kingdom it’s about 91 degrees F. with a breeze which feels like it may be coming from the Devil’s Kitchen.

Today I have, watched a couple episodes of Murder She Wrote, and a few episodes of Investigation Discovery.

Worked on catching up on some saved emails, which were put by for pleasure reading and have just this evening started reading one of my client’s books.

Since I love reading and am addicted to series, this is not work for me.

The client in question is Trish Hubschman and she has a book coming out soon. She’s graciously allowing me to read so I can do an advanced review and I have to say that ripping myself out of its pages has been hard.

Just so everyone reading knows, I won’t say I like a book if I don’t. I am a brutally honest book reviewer. I believe you do the writer no favors by sugar coating things that are wrong, but though I’m barely scratching the surface of this book I can honestly say I’m in it to win it.

There is a mystery to solve with lots of possible suspects. The pace is quick and the clues are sometimes hard to spot.

These are all good marks of a great book and the hints of romance interspersed throughout are a very nice touch.

Well, hell. I didn’t mean to start writing a partial book review but here I’ve gone and done it anyway.

LOL.

Here’s the coming soon info and Trish’s website is here so you can be sure to check out all her other books.

Now, I’ve got a mixed drink called a Rum Runner to hand to finish a dog who will soon be wanting out so I’m going to slip back into the mystery for a while.

Yawl have a great 4TH of July weekend.

Food For Thought

We all are the Light, automatically. So we really don’t have to go too much further than that. We all have a Light within us – it is the Soul; it is that spark of God, of the Divine, that activates our consciousness.
