Here I am, just 15 minutes from my first trip of the day. At 8:30 AM I’ll be picked up by an instructor from my room at which time I’ll harness my pup, take him for a quick relief break and then to the van for a short trip to town.
Once at the training lounge I’ll meet our trainer and we will start our training day.
This trip will consist of street crossings with and without red lights, stop signs and four-way intersections.
There will also be barriers set up in our path so we can get used to following our dogs around unexpected obstacles that might come our way.
This afternoon, we’ll begin learning a new route. This will eventually be our solo trip during which the instructor will wing back and let us take the lead.
I’m excited, nervous and a little scared but most of all I’m so happy to finally be here doing the Dog Guide thing again.
Well, I know this is a quick post. There is sure to be more to come.
Once again, please excuse mistakes. I’m typing off the top of my head. Just wanted to give a quick update before we get underway for the day!
PS. If you want to know more about the things I am experiencing. My books are currently on sale from now until July 31, 2021 at the link found below.
