Moon Phase Waning Crescent
Blue, Prince Edward and I are having a Sublime Sunday. The winter birds are singing, the sun is shining, we’ve been on two grand walks around the community, and I’ve had a great Sunday Fried Chicken lunch provided by Holy Trinity Lutheran Church who does the Sunday Meals on Wheels.
This is now the only meal I receive from that program. It helps lots to receive a lovely homemade warm meal on Sundays because I’ve usually been out walking and working with Blue all morning.
You see, Sundays are quiet here even if the weather is good. During the morning, people are either visiting with family, at church or sleeping in. This means I can get out with Blue in harness and put him through all his paces. We do obedience, cross the parking lot at various points round the complex, go to and from the bus stop, mailbox, and dumpster, plus walking the entire walkway round the whole place.
This gives him a good hour or so of magnificent work which he totally enjoys.
After we’re done and have made our way back to the apartment I remove his harness, grab my cane and heel him down to his relief area where he relieves and then I let him sniff about and unwind.
Once all that is done, he’s ready for a big drink of water, belly rub and then an afternoon nap.
I’ve been doing this for a few weeks now and it is helping to reinforce things for him in a big way.
I wish you could see him go. He is so excited to be let go at top-speed he bounces on his toes with every, single step and his tail goes so hard he whips me on the side of my legs with it as if he’s saying, “Hup! Hup! Mom!”
We’re making such wonderful progress and though this is an experience which is a 360 degree turn from what I was used to with Campbell I’m enjoying it quite a lot.
I must admit there have been some real bumps in the road for us but we’re overcoming them quite well.
Prince Edward, A.K.A. Sweet Eddy is taking it all in stride and is his Purrfectly loving self.
Though he too has had a few bumps in the road and last night suffered some severe nausea considering his illness he is doing very well.
I suppose that’s all I have to report. I hope everyone has a Sublime Sunday as well. May Harmony find You and Blessid may You Be.
