Good afternoon, I hope this Patty’s Post Picks finds you doing super well on this wonderful Woden’s Day!
For me, the day has been filled with much paperwork and running to and from but with the help of a good friend who is also a top-notch worker, I have I believe gotten everything submitted to all the places they belong.
Now, I’m back home in the quietude relief of my office where everything is peace and organization, ready to tell the world all about my totally talented clients and guests.
We’re gonna get this posting party started with some music provided by Sally Cronin and William Price King. So, put on your dancing shoes and get ready to get into the groove.

No Patty’s Post Picks would be complete without a book recommendation for your weekend reading and so with that thought in mind, here’s a review from Ernest Dempsey’s Book Corner Blog.
Escaping with His Life – From Dunkirk to D-Day & Beyond (Pen and Sword, 2019) by Nicholas Young is an inspiring and thrilling account of Leslie Young, a British commando who was captured and escaped from a prison camp in Northern Italy.
This biography epitomizes service and dedication during the darkest moments of twentieth century history, […]

CJ is Claire Plaisted’s daughter and she and her cat Bonnie must get home. So, I’m coming here to my blogging, Social Media and email family for your help.
Please, also if you could share.
And now, here’s CJ to tell you more…
I’m Ceejay, and I’ve been in the UK for almost four years now. While it has been an amazing experience, and I’ve been able to meet some wonderful people, I am ready to return home to New Zealand.
In late 2019 I adopted a kitten named Bonnie, and I want to take her home with me. She has just turned two this May and I love her dearly.
Bonnie has helped immensely with my mental health, among other things. When I adopted her, I swore I would be her “furever” home, and I have no intentions of going back on that promise.
Unfortunately, I have been having issues saving money to get her back to New Zealand, in addition to all of the other expenses I have had to cover due to the pandemic.
To date, Bonnie has had her Rabies vaccination and the Rabies Titer Test. We’re currently waiting on the results of the blood test, after which we need to book her tick and worming treatments with the vets.
I’ve paid for most of the necessary vet expenses myself, or have asked my sister for help. Unfortunately, saving for her actual travel is the part that we’re having issues with.
I’m currently working with PetAirUK to arrange Bonnie’s travel. The total cost for everything is about £1400, not including the fees I’ll need to pay once I pick Bonnie up at the end of her stay in quarantine.
Most of what I’ve saved will be used to cover the deposit on booking her in with PetAirUK, but I’m worried that I won’t be able to save enough money by myself in the next four months to cover the rest of the fees.
I would be incredibly grateful if you could donate even a little bit to help me and my beloved Bonnie get to New Zealand in time for Christmas this year, as I really do miss my family.
Please share or donate if you can, Bonnie and I would really appreciate it.
Love, hugs and purrs
Ceejay and Bonnie xx

June 12, 2021Thank you, ladies for setting up the advert for me and Bonnie; we really do appreciate it. Currently, we’ve raised £235 towards the fees for Bonnie’s travel. Bonnie only requires her tick and worming treatment, though we are still awaiting the test results from her Rabies Titer Test (a blood test to check whether or not the rabies vaccine has been effective). After her final treatment and the test results, she has to wait several months before she can be sent to New Zealand. The deposit for Bonnie’s travel has to be paid 8 weeks in advance, and the rest before she flies out…What I have at the moment is enough to cover the deposit and about a quarter to a third of the rest of the fees. I really hope I can get the amount I need saved up in time (my sister and I leave in November). Thank you for what help people can or have provided, I appreciate it.

June 12, 2021hey Claudia!, I’m so glad you stopped by.
I’m also glad to have this update. I’m going to add this info to the fundraiser information so we can keep up with what’s going on.
Please do keep me and the readers in the loop as things transpire.
I think of you every time I pet Prince Edward A.K.A. Sweet Eddy. I cannot imagine having to leave him behind.
Whilst what I’m currently going through doesn’t even begin to be as hard as your situation, I do understand. I am having to leap through hoops of fire it seems just to rent an apartment in which I can have him and my upcoming seeing Eye dog with me.
Why our governments place such hardship on us whilst allowing others to slip right through the system is a mystery for me and a possible blog post for another day.
Much love, Patty and Sweet Eddy.
