I’m Casey Mathews, I run Web Friendly Help, and I’ve used a screen reader for everything on a computer for as long as I’ve owned one. So when I tell you a thing I built works with a screen reader, I mean it, because I’d be the first one tripping over it if it didn’t.

Newest thing I’ve made is ResumeHarbor. You feed it a real job posting and it takes the experience you’ve actually got and reshapes it into a rumaimed at that one job, cover letter to match. It won’t invent a title you never held or a year you weren’t there, and it shows you every change it made along the way. First job’s on me, no card. Fifteen a month after that if you stick around.
A couple of my things cost nothing at all. Text Marks the Spot is an NVDA add-on that fixes something that’s nagged me for years. Sighted folks spot the article on a page in about a second; we arrow past the menu and the cookie banner one item at a time. This one does that walking for you and drops your cursor right where the reading starts. No AI, no tracking, nothing calling home. Grab it from the NVDA Add-on Store and it keeps itself current. My other freebie is KeyQuest, a typing game for Windows I wrote for the keyboard and screen reader crowd, on the theory that learning to type ought to beat plain old drills.
Now the work I do for you. Ever wonder whether ChatGPT and its cousins even know your business is alive when somebody asks them about your line of work? It’s four hundred flat for up to six pages, and if you hire me to fix what I turn up, that four hundred comes right off the bill.
And the plain old assistant work. The research, the inbox, the forms, the phone calls, the scheduling, all the little stuff that eats your whole week when you’re not looking. Flat rates, never the hourly meter. Sixty a week, or two hundred a month if you want me on call.
