National Poetry Month Days One and Two: I am an Ambivert and By Their Love

I have had a couple of tumultuous days and am catching up on my poetry for National Poetry Month.
Please enjoy my offerings and nature video.
I’ll be back later today with a poem for day three when something inspires me.

I am an Ambivert

. Yes, this is me. I am happy to visit but am as happy sitting alone with just me.

If crowds, people, intrusions, become too much.

I close like a flower in the night.

Close my petals, up tight.

I know myself, and today is the day I need to have my very own space.

No distractions, writing satisfaction, see y’all later, it’s gotta happen.

Respect the boundaries, I set for myself.

Else you’ll have to go up on the shelf.

Up on the shelf with the others who did not respect the time I needed myself.

Peace and quiet I seek

make my way, slow to the creek

find the ducks and geese

playing, bathing, preening in love and joy

I’m renewed by their love

I am totally blind. I took this video with my Meta Glasses by following their sounds.
