Dance to The Beat

By Trish Hubschman

Day 22

The music was vibrant,

Pulsating,

ALIVE.

It was volcanic.

Violet and Jake bounced to it.

Hands clasped,

Bodies together,

They swayed.

They moved apart.

Arms stretched,

He swung her around.

The strobe lights,

Bright and colorful,

Made patterns on the dance floor

At times,

It cast them in shadows

Or caught them in vivid spotlight

She laughed.

He smiled.

i could feel the music, hear it, see it. I was on the dance floor, in my head of course. it felt nice moving to the music again.

    1. It’s a great poem.
