My New Writing Path – @Smashwords Summer Winter Sale and Blended Lives Coming Soon #AmWriting #BookRelease #BookSale #WritingPlan

Hello, faithful readers and friends.

I hope this message finds you well.

As many readers know, I wrote “Pathway to Freedom Broken and Healed: How a Seeing Eye Dog Retrieved My Life Second Edition during 2020.

COVID arrived, Campbell died, and Prince Edward came on the scene.

Then, in 2021, Chief Seeing Eye® Dog Blue joined the family and I began learning the fun of writing fiction.

However, I’ve still got reader fans who want the rest of the story of what happened after my then Fiancé went to prison, and I began to pick up the pieces of my life.

The problem is, I see the possibility for my writing career to take a different direction with the fiction stories I’m writing.

What to do?

First, I should let you in on a way you can get Pathway to Freedom and all my other current work on sale.

Here’s the announcement below.

Keep reading after to learn my new writing plan.

Pathway to Freedom Broken and Healed:

Book One How a Seeing Eye Dog Retrieved My Life

(Second Edition)

The cover of "Pathway to Freedom". A garden with rocks and pebbles, surrounded by grass and trees. To the left, a bench sits below a tree with a seated dog silhouetted on the grass in front of it. An ethereal glow of gold and green shines through the middle of the picture with the title of the book written in fantasy style lettering in darker gold and with black shadowing.

In the first book of her memoir trilogy, Pathway to Freedom Broken and Healed: Book One How a Seeing Eye Dog Retrieved My Life, Patty Fletcher shares how choosing to attend The Seeing Eye guide dog school in Morristown, New Jersey, helped her to gain complete independence. But this decision would reveal glimpses into worlds she had never before known existed.

Once home from The Seeing Eye, Patty soon begins to realize that all is not right in her own world.

Watch your step as you journey down the winding path with Patty and Campbell, for there are many obstacles along the way. Through triumphs and tribulations, through tears and fears, that forever guide remains at her side. King Campbell works tirelessly to keep Patty safe from harm.

A Moving, Multi-Faceted Memoir!

Patty Fletcher’s no-holds-barred candor delivers a moving, multi-faceted memoir through vivid details and snatches of actual conversations.

Ms. Fletcher’s well-written narrative makes it possible for the reader to walk along her pathway on the journey she began when harnessing Labrador, Campbell Lee, for the first time at ‘The Seeing Eye Guide Dog’ school. To be precise—attaching the harness, letting him walk on your left side, and keeping in rhythm with his gait.

Following Patty and Campbell in their soulful journey, the reader becomes acutely aware of the emotional, psychological, and physical toll domestic abuse takes on its victim. While Book 1 doesn’t have a fairy tale ending, this reader walked away admiring and respecting the author’s honesty, courage, bravery, integrity, and resilience as she continues along life’s journey.

I highly recommend this candid memoir which doesn’t tread lightly.

OK. Now, for anyone who hasn’t read my work, there’s how to get it.

My New Writing Path…

Now, to my writing path.

I’ve heard from my editors. Blended Lives Chronicles: Book One Sides of the Order is coming back to me in just a few days.

I’ll read through it, decide what if anything else needs done, do that if anything shows itself and then, I’ll be hunting a beta reader.

After that’s complete, and a cover has been created, the book will release.

I’ve fallen totally under the spell of High Priestess Lady Laya MoonWalker, Blended Lives Instructor and second in command of the Order of the Night, Derrick Gibbous and his sweet-talking ways, as well as all the rest. Therefor Book Two is well under way.

I’ve also published one story which will be included in Book Two as well as having yet another accepted for an upcoming anthology, in the fall. Which is going to be right on the heels of my publishing the first Blended Lives.

What about the rest of the other story? How can you possibly afford to do it as well as these others?

Right now, I cannot. However, much of the story is written and so starting this August, I’ll be posting chapters on the blog. I’ll be creating a page dedicated to nothing but the Pathway to Freedom and the best part? Readers get to watch it be written, ask questions, review chapters, and help me make it the best I can make it so that when I’m done with world building a while, I can put the chapters together, edit lightly and publish.

I’ll be making this accessible for all readers so stay tuned for more.

Please do not be upset. I have spent hours of agonizing thought and time on my knees in prayer. This is where my heart goes. I’ve some possibilities ahead that may never come again, and I feel I can sale the Blended Lives books.

Stay tuned for more.

Thanks for your support.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Happy reading.

Blended Lives sounds fascinating. Posting chapters of a work is progress sounds challenging, innovative, exciting and scary all at the same time. It’s a bold idea and an amazing tool. It also seems to me that Patty has another book in the making with Paws on the Street. I love her Bubba Tales too. God be with you. You are an inspiration to all who know and love you and to those who read your work.

    1. Hi, Marlene, thanks for such a wonderful comment on my post.
I actually heard of an author, who’s name escapes me at the moment, who first, blogged her memoir and then turned it into a book.
Peter Altschul is another who did a similar thing with his books. So, while it’s scary as all hell to put it out like that, I really think it will be a great promotional tool as well.
VR/Blind Services, now recognizes me as, Writer/Author and I may even get some funding to help with my work. That’s a long way away, but as I was reading articles on how I could enhance my writing career, I ran across one that specifically spoke of blogging in this way.
I also follow Sally Cronin and her blog is a huge inspiration to me. I learn so much about what to do and what not to do in the blogosphere from her and others, like Robbie Cheadle and Kaye Lynne Booth it’s quite amazing.
The power of the blog is huge.
Thanks again and have a great day.
