I have this most awesome friend. You just cannot believe how awesome he is! I call on him all hours of the day and night. I call on him to take me places, even if the weather is not right. He never gets upset with me no matter how many times in one day. He never cares what I look like. His love for me is real, not a mask.
Who is this most awesome friend you must by now want to know? Well, let me tell you before you go. I have this friend you see. He was picked just for me. His name is Campbell Lee, and he is a real and honest to goodness friend to me. He doesn’t care what kind of clothes I wear. He doesn’t care how I do my hair. He doesn’t care if I’m fat or thin, and he doesn’t care how many places we’ve been. He only asks one thing in return, and let me tell you this one thing he does earn. What does he ask? You must want to know. Why my love. Nothing more.
Do you have anyone in your life like that to which you can go? Don’t feel sorry for me because I am blind my friend, I have the best and most loving friend on this earth, and his love and faithfulness to me will never end.
Campbell and I have been together five years this weekend.
On April 2nd 2011 I made a hard journey to The Seeing Eye. I was four hours late arriving at the school, scared to death, and not even sure I’d made the right decision. Two days later on April 4th Mr. Drew Gibbon, Sr. Instructor of The Seeing Eye placed a leather leash in my hand, and attached to the other end, was what would and has turned in to my very best friend.
I love you my sweet Campbell!
May you live long and prosper. Our life has not been an easy one, but you have never faltered. Not one step. I will love you forever, and you are always to be with me. No one else ever with shall you be.
