Morning Musings with Team Blue 🐾

Good morning, friends. 🌞
I hope this finds you well.

Last night, I turned in just after nine, with Blue curled up beside me—new monkey toy in tow. 🐵 Normally, he’s quick to rip the heads or stuffing out of anything plush, but this one seems different. He’s been carrying it around like it’s his own pup. 🍼 With six squeakers tucked inside, it’s definitely a supervised play item—but that’s part of my job. Since a gentle reminder from a friend, I make sure to check Blue’s toybox regularly, and my helper Cordelia (who knows a thing or two about chewers thanks to her husky 🐺) helps me keep everything safe.

Yesterday brought a mix of emotions. When Blue left without looking back, I didn’t know whether to feel relieved or to cry—so I did a little of both. 😢🙂 He’s come back soft, clean, and just a little less “doggish,” so I’m glad I sent him.

Work & Creative Projects 💻✨

On the work front, I’ve already posted on my blog today 📝 and crossed another big task off my to-do list for United Blind of Seattle. Now that I have a clear picture of what’s needed, I’ve been able to create and add content with great success. This project is different from my usual daily work, and I’m loving the challenge.

Building webpages and sites feels like a kind of art to me 🎨, and I’m right on schedule. More updates to come.

Writing Life ✍️📚

My writing is moving forward, too—both fun and challenging as ever. Today’s agenda includes some proofing 🔍 and then diving into the next section of my manuscript.

I’m still searching for an editor and illustrator. 🎨🖋 I thought I had the illustration side solved, but after a month of waiting for feedback on a cover idea and getting no response (even after resending), I’m back to the hunt. Richmond is officially on the calendar, and I couldn’t be more excited!
