Morning Musings with Coffee

Good morning everyone.

Can you believe it’s Thursday (Thor’s Day) again?

I tell you I just don’t know how the week gets gone so quick.

I suppose it’s because I’ve been keeping busy.

Today I hope to get some writing done, although I have people coming to the house to deliver food, and someone is coming by to read my mail. I don’t know what I’d have done all this time without folks who were willing to go the extra mile during this Social Distancing thing with COVID-19.

I’ve had folks who have made sure Campbell’s meds and food got delivered, run errands for me, and one who has come without fail every two weeks to read my mail because those who normally do so couldn’t.

Although I’ve had a few bumps in the road throughout all this I must say that because of a few good friends and the fact that the KATS (Kingsport Area Transit System) kept its services going in some way I’ve been able to get along fairly well.

I’ve also used this time to expand my business and it worked.

I’ve begun a new podcast, picked up two new clients, and even managed to get my internet turned back on.

The Writer’s Grapevine is flourishing in ways I never dreamed and since today is Thor’s Day which in my faith is a day of attracting more of what you have, there’s no telling what blessing may befall me before the sun goes down.

My point I suppose is that rather than bemoan the situation, I got up off my tail, used what I had for good and made it work.

Was it easy? No.

Did I get frustrated at times due to a few things simply not being possible? Yes.

Are there things I have wanted to do that I couldn’t? Sure.

Are things back to how they were before all this began? No, and they most likely won’t be.

As I stated yesterday in a post, there has always been change, and without change there is not growth.

I once again urge you to work hard as you can to lift yourself up and go forth. Allow the good in your life, and it will be so.

Yes, I do get depressed. In fact, due to my bipolar, I spend about 5 days each month walking around as if I were walking through quicksand which has been shot full of glass.

Then I have a few days of mania that keep me awake for as much as 15 hours a stretch. Sometimes more.

What do I do during those times?

I get up each morning. I brush teeth and hair. Wash face, make a cup of coffee, walk my dog, and push through it till I feel better.

I was not always this way and it’s taken me years to be so.

Occasionally, I slip and when I do, I pick myself up, dust myself off and keep going.

What’s brought all this rant up this early morning?

Because I’ve been scrolling through FB newsfeed and read just one too many “I can’t” posts and it drives me nuts!

I say to you, “Yes You Can!”

Have a great day and remember it’s up to you to make it that way.

PS. To all those going through hard times who are busting their hump to do best they can, I say…

ROCK ON!

GREAT JOB!

KEEP IT UP!

DON’T LET THE “I CAN’T PEOPLE” GET YOU DOWN!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT…

Lay a foundation inside of you of health and balance. Negative emotions such as lack, envy, jealousy, greed, lust, rage, despair and hopelessness can disrupt you physically. You can learn from whatever brought those feelings up. Also learn to let those emotions go, as they are disruptive and they don’t support you.

  1. Nice post this morning, Patty.

Today is overcast and much cooler.

I think it will be a good day for working on a poem I started a few days ago.

Maybe the muse will arrive and help me get it to the finish line.

      Food For Thought

We all are the Light, automatically. So we really don’t have to go too much further than that. We all have a Light within us – it is the Soul; it is that spark of God, of the Divine, that activates our consciousness.
