Good morning everyone and Happy Monday!

I’m having a mini rant so please excuse me and my annoyance.

Of late, it seems to me that people have forgotten all they ever knew about manners. They seem to think that just because they’re having conversations via way of a keyboard, Smart Device, or some type of online chat such as Zoom or Skype that they don’t need to adhere to any sort of mannerly behavior.

Well, I’ve about had it up to my eyeballs with it.

First, people need to remember that the rules of discussion which would apply if you were chatting face to face, also apply when chatting in email, in comments on Facebook, on a blog or in a chat room.

If you’re having a conversation with someone face to face and they’re talking about something, telling a story what have you, you’d not suddenly interrupt them and start in with a story of your own would you?

No. Certainly not. So, why then do people reply to comments with off topic things without changing subject lines, or starting a new conversation, and in the case of Facebook or a blog, by not putting links into comment fields which haven’t a thing to do with the posts they’re reading.

This morning I’ve had to delete several comments which came onto my blog concerning various posts because they either contained links to sites or had information which was so off color as to be crude.

I just don’t for the life of me understand what is wrong with people.

Just because we must practice “Social Distancing” doesn’t give us the right to become “Unsocialized”
