I wake each day.

I remember to say,

Thank you for the sun.

Thank you now our day’s begun, our needs, wants and desires they’re met.

Thank you for what we have,

and for what we have not yet.

Thank you when this day is through, we will still be we, and you will still be you.

Light our path.

Guide our way.

Give us that which to do and say.

As I will.

As you will.

As we will.

So mote it be, blessid be, amen.

I know how important it is to be grateful for even the tiniest of things. There have been and still are days when even one scoop of coffee grounds or a single bag of tea was enough for me.

I’ve learned to say a blessing for the fresh, crisp, morning air.

I give thanks to the Creator who put it there.

I know how fortunate I am, and I know that the things wrong in my life for the most part are due to the choices I’ve made which led me to this place and time.

Happiness is a choice, Gratefulness is too, and I’ve made mine.

I’ve decided even on the darkest days to look for the positive, to look for the light.

I’m certain, because I’ve seen it before, that if I do this things will always come right.

Not long ago, I was putting on some clothes. I noted a rip in the pants I was getting ready to wear. In frustration I said, “I wish I could have some comfy pants with deep pockets.

Yesterday, when my friend came by to pick up my laundry, she handed me a bag of clothes. She’s always bringing me things she’s picked up from her mom or someone clearing out closets, storage buildings and the like. She always gives me first dibs. Can you guess what was in that bag?

In my faith, Thor’s Day is a day to be grateful for what you have and to attract more of what you have. Is it any accident our day of Thanksgiving falls on a Thor’s Day? I do not believe in coincidence only synchronicity.

Gratefulness is a choice.

Happiness is a choice.

Lift your voice in gratitude each day and you will never lose your way.

Happy Thanksgiving.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving Patty. May you be blessed today and every day! 🦃🧡 I agree, thankfulness and gratefulness should not be saved for one day per year. I am grateful for every day I am alive and all the blessings I have.

    1. Hi, Carla. I used to walk around totally unaware. Then, in 2017 I nearly died and it changed my life. I’ve told people many times it was almost like being reborn.
Thanks for reading my post and have a super-duper happy Thanksgiving.
