Love and Marriage

29 Years Later

By Trish Hubschman

March 2021

Day after day, month after month

The years fly by so fast

A decade wed, a half, a score

Now we’re almost up to three decades.

We’re a team, through thick and thin

The dynamic Duo forever more

We’ve grown together, learned and shared

Our love and friendship stronger than before

We’ve had our squabbles, moans and groans

But never stay upset for long

Communication is the factor here

And not dwelling on who’s right or wrong

I am no expert on marriage, you see

I just follow my heart

It tells me that I did the right thing

In choosing you from the start

Twenty-nine years we’ve shared our lives

with many more to go

So many happy times there are

Thank you, yes, that’s what I want you to know.
