longing for fun
with seriousness and responsibility for a while I’m done
waiting on the sun
cooler days
want to walk and run
play and have fun
to stop with always having to hunt hard for the joy
it’s time to play with toys
to do something away from the desk and computer
time to think about the future
time to stop doing things which are no longer fun for me
if it ain’t fun don’t do it anymore
that’s what was advised to me
long ago you see
from one much older and wiser to me
when it all gets too much
you don’t any longer have to give it a touch
just leave it alone
and do what you love
life is too short
and it’s yours
so do as you please
after all
I think it’s like this
no one’s living this life but me
