Live and In Person from the Terrible Terrace
Good morning, everyone.
I hope you’re doing well. Here, the coffee is hot, the weather is too, yet there’s lots going on with Team Blue.
We fell asleep around 7:30 or 8 last evening in the living room. Keep in mind most of the time, our days start in the early AM. By 7 or 7:30 Blue has been on a 12 hour feeding and relieving cycle and by 8 or 8:30 he’s done. He is still keeping The Seeing Eye® training time, and considering how I sleep, that’s OK.
I woke once in the early night, somewhere around 10:30. As I was coming back from the bathroom, Blue raised his head, I walked to his leashes and asked, do you want out? No go he did not want to get up, so I went back to my nest in my recliner, found the last thing I heard in my book, set a sleep timer, and promptly went back to sleep before that went off.
I woke at 3 with Blue nudging me and by 4 he’d been out to relieve, eaten, and I’d had a shower.
Now, here I sit with a fresh cup of coffee and I’m ready to get to the business of the day.
I don’t think I’m going to be able to do pottery today. In fact, I think what I’ll be doing today is calling the doctor’s office to see if I can get into see her before the 22ND. When I fell on that torn up swing, I injured my lower back, neck, shoulder, and arm. At first, I thought it would be no big deal, but as time has progressed, though the lower back seems to be easing the pain in my neck, shoulder and arm are only worsening. I don’t think I could hold the clay and do all that needs done to work it Etc. today. I’m barely able to work with my dog. I must take frequent breaks from the computer, and I am now sleeping full-time in my recliner due to the constant pain.
This whole thing infuriates me because the damn swing still sits there unrepaired, and my letters to my manager go unacknowledged.
Ah well, it’s life here at the Terrible.
Terrible terrace. What can you do?
Before I get to the last few chapters in the manuscript for book II of The Blended Lives Chronicles series, I’d like to remind everyone we’re still taking short stories, essays, poems, or book reviews having to do with vacationing.

Whatever it is, whether from this summer or years gone by, holiday vacations, winter, fall, whenever, heck, you can make up fiction. We just want to hear from you.

THE BLENDED LIVES CHRONICLES
About the Book

Lady Laya MoonWalker is a well respected author and magazine owner and a high priestess in the magickal community. After a drawn-out battle with the forces of dark magik, she has come into her own. She lives and works on Planet Korponious, where she is the owner and creator of an Interplanetary Magazine called “Blended Lives Chronicles.” Her mission is to blend the lines of race, creed, and disability that separate so many and to elevate the recognition of the training and ability of Service Animals of all kinds to a new level. She has just been accepted into the Blended Lives Federation and now hopes to continue her work in a way like nothing known to her before.
Laya has created allot of wreckage along the way through her dark journey into the light, and now she wishes to set this to right. She has just received her best break ever. Frank Prince, the CEO of The Blended Lives Learning Center, has invited her to the Celtic New Year Convention and Witches Ball as a reporter to write a story on the progress of The Blended Lives Planetary Federation. She will be their guest speaker at the opening ceremonies.
When Laya arrives at the Celtic Convention, she finds herself face to face with an old and dear friend, Blended Lives Learning Center Instructor and member of the Order of the Night, Derrick Gibbous. As they begin to connect, causing old sparks to reignite, they are tossed into a nasty battle from which not everyone will escape. People are not as they seem, and not everyone supports the side for which they appear to work.
As their love for one another grows, so does the battle. Despite everything, Laya and Derrick are determined to see their work to unite beings of all kinds succeed.
