Journey Out of the “Big C” Finding my Feet Again

Hello, everyone.
I hope you’re all doing well.
Here, I’ve a great cuppa to hand and am at my desk for the morning.
I finished the few household chores I had, endured a bug-spray visit, which consisted of them knocking on my door and someone – presumably, the
bug man, coming through the apartment without even speaking to me.
It was disconcerting because I was not at first certain he’d left the apartment and I stood in the hallway until he came out of another apartment and then left with the manager before I went back inside.
Rude does not cover it.
I cannot blame our manager. She had her hands full with someone across the hall who was stopping progress. She – the neighbor, of course, was out of her door talking with everyone like it was a party offering people something to drink and asking questions.
Our manager oversaw it all well. I personally cannot imagine going onto every floor like that and engaging in some way with everyone there I think that would be exhausting. So, give our gal a break. Ask yourself, “Would I do this job and put up with a tenant like me? I think about that sometimes before I go to do something. For example, I clean at night. I cannot vacuum at night. Also, there are hours during which we’re not to dump trash. I realized that now and stopped doing it. Our night and weekend manager and other maintenance men have to deal with it when it piles up on top of the trash compacter inside the thing and it’s not beautiful.
Again, put yourselves in the position of others.
If I’m gonna break a rule, I might slip some crumbs over the side of the fencing while walking Blue so I can get a better chance at a pic of the ducks. I might, might, maybe, might stick my middle finger out to the side or whisper a dark curse as I pass at a particularly disagreeable person. But only on the most necessary of occasions. I mean, pick your battles that way if you get caught it’s worth it. So far so good for not getting caught. There are some who think it is I who need the handler. 😜
😏😜 No one who has applied for the job has ever been successful.
Blue will be back soon to help – um keep me in line but for now, this is me.

Once the bug people had left the floor and things returned to quiet, I settled down and finished clearing up in the bathroom and now I am back in my comfortable chair in the sun.
The bed is close to hand should I want it, but I want to try to go an extra 30 minutes or so. I will not try for an all-day marathon again. That was too much and set me back a day or so.
I fell asleep just after 6 o’clock yesterday evening. I slept until nearly 10 o’clock last night. During the night, while going through folders, I stumbled upon yet another finds. A journal I wrote Before COVID and during the beginning parts.
Then as I continued looking, my interest fully peeked, I came upon single journal entries from a lot of months.
There are so many treasures of memoir I cannot even process it. The best part? Some can be edited to fit into Laya’s journaling in my The Blended Lives Chronicles – TBLC
This is twice that I’ve come across exactly what I needed to fill in entire sections of history and story plot and world building directly into the manuscript while looking through works from years ago.
Is it possible I have finally found my rhythm and can I now find my way to center stage in the authorsphere?
I want my turn.
For now, I’m off to edit and work. Whatever comes of it. This is fun!
