I interrupt your quiet Sublime Sunday Reading Morning with something I Need to Say!
1498 that is the amount of my current medical bills when added together.
I’ll be turning these into the DSS on Monday to see if I can get my Food Stamps raised. I don’t like to, but I must eat.
This bill deducts the 500 dollars they have already received and if things are worse than we fear there is more to come.
The amount shown above includes the 318-dollar copay I must pay for the surgery. I must have a deposit of 50 dollars on the day of surgery.
I have a donor waiting for that if I don’t get it before.
I’ll make that decision on Monday.
Why am I writing?
I’m writing because I’ve got something to say.
First, I think any medical facility who would deny someone surgery of any type, let alone what I’m being operated on for because they don’t have a deposit is despicable and breaks the oath of do no harm.
Forget that noise. Insert any other F word you like. I have one that comes to mind.
There’s a hot place in hell for the owners and workers of Ballad Health that allow this. One day there will be a reckoning for them.
Next, I must address an issue I’m having when around people who know of my sickness.
Before I do, let me state, I am not asking for anything at all except to be allowed dignity as I go through this. I’m certain no one meant harm. I just need to be honest.
I am not writing these suggestions for help as a needy person, and I am not asking for one thing. I am listing them because I have multiple messages from people who want to know how to help. So, you want to know, I’m speaking up and stating it.

Please, take the pity away from our conversations. I don’t want to hear it in your voice. I don’t want to hear it in your words; I don’t want to hear it.
Positivity is key here. Focusing on a full recovery and finding nothing more is key. Pity has no place in the equation.

If you’d like to help, mean it when you say, “call if you need me.” Don’t reach out with a wish to help while telling me how bad your own finances are. Don’t ask me to reach out to you any time with this personal thing when we’ve not talked in six months before you found out the news.
I don’t mean to be rude, but I just don’t need the stress. I’ve stopped being in very many virtual or public places because of this. I’m already doing without Blue. Now I’m doing without you. I can’t take much more so please for goodness’s sake, think before you speak.
I never knew how important wording was before this and I have gone over in my mind how I may have spoken with others in similar situations. I fall short. I am learning. I am sorry.
