Invisibility
By Patty L. Fletcher
Thanks to the wonderful work of my big, Blue Dog, and the help of my Metta Glasses, I managed to take a walk around our property here and was able to stay out of everyone’s way.
I finally settled on a spot on the patio by our street doors after we’d walked, and no one else was there.
Blue was able to enjoy some sunshine and watch the goings on without my having issue with anyone who might not want us around.
It was nice to know where I was going and how to direct Blue.
We stood at the end of the green space, listened to the music from the Birthplace of Country Music Museum but there was no place to go due to much being closed for the holidays, so after a bit we made our way back inside and Blue was proud of himself and feeling good about a successful walk.
We Unobtrusively made our way back through the lobby and were able to board the elevator after someone came off without issue.
I’m determined in the coming year to have no more unpleasant encounters.
I have friends here but they’re busy with their own things and so when they’re not around, I simply go as quietly as possible along my way.
I never have to be alone though, because I’ve my Big, Blue Dog by my side.
Thanks to The Seeing Eye for giving me the tools I need when I must be invisible.

I can very well relate to the poem shown below.
About the Book
Outside the Circle is a collection of songs and poems I’ve written and composed through the decades. It’s mostly dark, but for those willing to look beyond my personal demons, there can hopefully be found both flashes of resilience and rays of hope.
The book is dedicated first and foremost to my wife, Trish, who is a fantastic author in her own “write.” Secondly, it is dedicated to everyone who feels bullied, feels different, feels alone, feels friendless, feels hopeless, and feels “outside the circle.” The words “don’t judge a book by its cover” spring to mind as apropos.
“Outside the Circle”
Outside the circle I can’t see the sun
Outside the circle I don’t know anyone
Outside the circle time is on the run
Outside the circle is not much fun
Inside the circle is a white–noise crowd
Inside the circle is fashionably loud
Inside the circle there are people with guns
Inside the circle is a lot of fun
