I must Wonder.

I must wonder
does anyone out there know
does anyone care
other than those like me
who know what it is to be
on the very edge
needing to make a pledge
a pledge to follow whatever program can help
I know how they’ve felt
the problem here is
they tell you buckets of lies
no matter with whom you ally
don’t judge me if you please
right now I’m on my knees
asking the creator
the one who made this theater
this theater for us to use
we are given the ability to choose
like lams to the slaughter
you sent your son
your daughter
now we’ll all pay
for the mistakes you made
now I’ve said that truth
what is there to do
the monster is loose
what do you choose
anger
rage
fury
screaming
fists
pound
or
shall we band together
a new force we could be
please join me in thoughts
of what we can do
to bring about change for the future
for the past
there’s not a damn thing we can do
please stop the madness
