I don’t get it
you brought me in to do a job
which I have tried to do
then
because I didn’t turn into a yes mam kinda gal
you decided maybe I wasn’t gonna be your pal
I did not take this on to be a friend
I thought that had nothing to do with the other end
the business end as it were
I knew this
no
I know it for sure
no matter what another thinks
I’m gonna do what’s right for all I serve
no matter what you think you deserve
F all that noise
if that’s what you want then you can’t play with my toys
tired of that racket
had enough of that
there’s quite a bit of that already floating around
enough sh*T found
I and others are ready for something new
go and do what you do
I’ll wash my hands of you
I’m for, the, people!

August 6, 2026This reads like a song, Patty. It’s well written. I’m not sure what ‘s inspired it. I hope you’re okay.

August 7, 2026Hi, I am OK. It was inspired because I am a little stuck on how to go about working in alignment with a Committee and board that I am on and trying to figure out why I was asked to even consider doing it when I get a little pushback from the very one that I thought wanted me there. And I sang it like a song in my head so it might turn into one. Thank you very much.
