I Awoke #Saturday Surprise #PoetryPlace

I, awoke.

Awoke from a dream.

Though the vail was thin,

My path was barely seen.

I awoke,

Awoke not knowing what to do.

I stood, my fists thrust forward,

Lips parted,

Snarling,

Teeth, grimace,

No knowledge on my face.

Then, as we walked,

Walked in birdsong and breeze,

I awoke,

Ah Huh!

How stupid!

It’s right in front of me!

I awoke,

My mind alight.

I awoke,

Awoke again to life.

Oh! Mother Father!

Here am I!

Hear my cry!

  1. Lovely!

    1. Good morning, my friend. I hope you’re well.
I wonder, do you have time for a cocktail with me later today?
We can grab our favorite brews and settle in for a chat. If not, then, soon.
I love you for reading my attempts at poetry.
