How to Survive the Tragic Death of a Coffeepot by Patty L. Fletcher #Inspiration

Good morning, to all. I hope you’re doing well. Here, despite the death of my coffeepot, the coffee is hot. The weather is not and that’s the way we love it.
I ordered a coffeepot yesterday evening. I got confirmation it will be here by Monday. Maybe earlier.
In the meantime, I’m making coffee the old fashioned way. I put the grounds in their basket and place it where it goes. I fill the pot with water, so as to measure correctly. I pour this into a pot to boil on the stove or in a large cup or bowl to heat in the microwave. Once the water has come to a boil I pour it slowly overtop the grounds and let it drip into the pot I’ve placed underneath. The coffee is done fairly quick and though not quite as good as when brewed by the pot itself it’s still good and I made it strong. I have experience in making coffee all sorts of ways. I’ve had to learn to improvise over the years because living on the very cusp of poverty makes it so. Necessity certainly is the mother of invention. I’m grateful for a strong hot cup of brew and I’m proud of myself for not giving into the temptation of ordering it already made and delivered. Too expensive and honestly, it would have taken longer to get it than to do it myself.
I’m also grateful for my tech advisor and research assistant Casey Mathews of Web Friendly Help for quickly finding an affordable coffeepot I could obtain on my budget. Currently, I’m on my second cup of my old fashioned brew. It’s great.
Thanks to everyone who messaged with offers and suggestions.
Have a beautiful day.
Blessid Be.

Hi Patty, my dad would praise you for being a Boy Scout and finding a solution to your broken coffee pot. Being a Boy Scout was high praise when he ssid that to my sisters and I as kids.

    1. That’s still high praise. I figure if I wanted coffee I could get it the easy way and waste money or put in a little effort and have a pot made here at home. I’m drinking another cup now.
