One thing I’ve never quite figured out is how anyone can decide they don’t like something they’ve never actually tried. That’s a bit like announcing you hate chocolate cake because you’ve seen a picture of one. It just makes me smile.

Life is full of interesting people, ideas, foods, books, music, and experiences. We certainly don’t have to love them all, but isn’t it more fun to give something a fair chance before crossing it off the list?

I’ve always thought curiosity makes life a whole lot more interesting. Sometimes you discover a new favorite thing. Sometimes you discover it really isn’t for you. Either way, you’ve learned something.

So here’s to trying new things, keeping an open mind, and occasionally surprising ourselves. After all, the best adventures often begin with the simple words, "Well… let’s see what happens."
