Hey! What’s Everyone Reading? #Books #Discussions #Reviews

Hi, I’d love to know what you’re reading these days. So, feel free to reply with a book list, reviews or anything else related to reading you’d like to share.
To begin, here’s a book I finished over the Labor Day weekend.

The Old Man – Perry Thomas

Breath taking, Suspenseful, Keep the reader on the edge of their seat reading.

Book Summary

Thirty-five years ago, as a young hotshot in army intelligence, Chase was sent to Libya to covertly assist a rebel army. When the plan turned sour, Chase reacted according to his own ideas of right and wrong, triggering consequences he could never have anticipated. And someone still wants him dead because of them.
If you like books with twists, turns, and tangles too numerous to count, this is the book for you.
I read this book in less than 24-hours staying up into the wee hours to finish it because I absolutely had to know what happened next.
Chase is a character I both loved and loathed.
Though I understood his methods, some of them gave me great pause for contemplation.
Thomas Perry is an incredible author who can bring a book climax so vividly to the forefront it leaves you sweating, gripping the arms of your reading chair and yelling at the characters in warning.
Definitely am reading more of his work.

  1. Hi Patty, thanks for this review. I have just finished reading The Peaceful Village by Paulette Mahurin and The Second Mrs Astor, both of which were excellent. I am now reading The Widow’s Son by Daniel Kemp and Mystical Greenwood by Andrew McDowell.
