Happy Day After Christmas – Boxing Day for Those Who Celebrate – What’s Up with me and the Chief and a Special Announcement About Trish Hubschman and her New Book #What’sUp

Good morning everyone, I hope this message finds you happy, healthy and warm wherever you are in the world.

I also hope you had a good Christmas Day yesterday, if you celebrate such.

*No judgement if you do not celebrate that holiday. In fact, we’d love to hear what you do celebrate if you’d like to share.*

Blue and I had a grand weekend of celebration.

I cooked my favorite wintertime food, had some lovely times visiting with family and friends both in person and online.

I must say, I’m enjoying taking time off from the regular routine of work. I didn’t know how stressed I was trying to keep up with the hundreds of emails I get, marketing schedules and all the rest which comes with that as well as trying to make time to write and get my current manuscript over to Two Pentacles Publishing for second edits and hopefully publishing in the early new year, while dealing with an as of yet diagnosed illness, which they fear may be heart related.

I appreciate all of you allowing me this time to rest and renew.

As I’ve come to realize the amount of stress I’ve been working under, I’ve decided to make some changes to how things will work in 2023. Watch for a message concerning that soon.

Each year, I strive to make my marketing program more of a team effort between myself and my clients. Each year things become a bit more in tune. This year, I plan to tighten things up a bit more and I expect you’ll all are more than talented enough to step up to the plate.

In the meantime, my agenda for today is to clear my inbox and make decisions about what I’ll continue to follow and receive and what I’ll cast aside which no longer serves my spiritual, physical, emotional, and of course marketing needs.

We’re all growing and evolving and I’m no exception to that rule.

I’ll also be doing some house cleaning. Though I have help once a week there are still many things I must do on my own.

Finally, last but not at all least, I’m going to spend some time grooming Blue and working on his obedience drills.

Due to the cold weather, those things sort of fell by the wayside and it is showing.

Guide dogs must maintain a strict routine and specific activities with regularity so their skills remain sharp. So, cold or not, this afternoon when the temps are in the 30s I plan to get out and work him round our community and to spend time playing with and grooming him as well.

Once all those things are accomplished it will be time for supper and reading time.

I have two books to finish this week and then, in the new year I’ll be reading Trish Hubschman’s new book, Gayle’s Tales…

Tracy has to locate missing persons who vanished decades earlier.

She gets tangled in murder investigations she hadn’t anticipated.

She digs into a coal mining town that’s been uninhabited for 40 years and discovers secrets and skeletons.

In the end, she brings long–lost family members and friends back into each other’s arms and lives.

  1. YOU sound like you’re on the right track. Take care of yourself and your faithful companion and whatever there’s no time for let go. I’m enclosing the lyrics to a song I wrote long ago. It’s still true.
    Letting Go, by Tasha Halpert
Chorus: Letting go, letting go, Letting all the music channel into flow,
Feeling free, feeling free, Like the dancing leaves upon the Maple tree.
    Verses:
    Finding miracles to glisten everywhere,
Finding energy and lovingness to share,
As the joyous melodies sing the leaves upon the trees,
All of nature’s love is channeled into care.

As we dance on down the merry road to Light,
We can know that everything will be all right,
For God’s in charge you see, and we’re all one family,
And the road ahead is very, very bright.

We are father, mother, sister, brother son,
We’re the family of humanity, we’re one,
As we make our way through life with its harmony and strife,
We can look around and know we’re having fun.

Chorus: Feeling free, feeling free, As the dancing leaves upon the maple tree,
As we care, as we care, As we channel out the love that’s ours to share.

Letting go is letting be, letting be,
In the simple pattern of the harmony,
Finding notes of love to share with your family everywhere,
So the giving and receiving may go free.
