I think, for me, the most powerful phrase I heard said by those being interviewed was, “There are regular people in between.”
That’s how I feel when I see everyone going goo goo over all the college educated big time lawyers and such who are blind. Yes, they deserve the credit but what about those of us facing everyday struggles who overcome and successfully live independent lives, advocating for themselves and others? People who have no family support who handle their entire lives on their own working hard to put in place support systems via way of the meager services provided by states, health insurance programs Etc.
Aren’t we important enough to recognize?
I enjoyed the great audio description in this video. It allowed me to know the people in a way I’d have not had without the AD.
