Food Saves the Day

Food Saves the Day

I felt disorientated.

Things wouldn’t go right.

I stood in the early morning,

the early morning light pouring in.

It made no difference to me,

no, I was glum you see.

It’s hard when things are as cue.

It doesn’t know what to do.

“I’m hungry I declared!”

I’ll make food, good smells in the air.

Chicken sausage paddies on the stove,

sweet potatoes with butter and sugar, in the microwave,

here we go.

The smells, they waft through the air,

oh yeah, it’s almost there.

Food saves the day.

Grounds me with Mother Gaia in a great way.

Now, I’ve energy to write the words I want to say.

    Yay for food!

    1. Yes, I didn’t realize how little I’d been taking care of myself over the last few days. Snacking here and there, grabbing whatever was to hand, and working too hard.
Today, my body said “Stop, feed and care for me.”
I ended up eating sausage chicken paddies, which fell apart so I poured baked beans overtop them and let them simmer. I baked a sweet potato and it was scrumptious. I gave Blue a little of it too. we both feel better. Thanks for reading.
